The Challenge
In 2014, Dirk V., one of our team members, wanted to learn how to build smartwatch applications.
He dove into the material and quickly got quite good at it. Now, if only he could create something bigger than his own playground apps... Why not try his current AppFoundry client?
Our Solution
At the time Dirk was working for our client Belfius Bank. He took matters into his own hands and pitched an idea for a Belfius Smartwatch app. Belfius liked the initiative and saw the potential, thus offering Dirk the chance to create his first professional Android Wear app.
Result
Late November 2014, Belfius Bank announced a first in the Belgian mobile banking world: the ‘Belfius Direct Wear’ smartwatch application.
